I was born in 1959 in Iwakuni, Japan and grew up in rural Kansas. I attended college at the Colorado College and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981. I then attended law school at the Washburn University of Topeka in Kansas where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree, with honors, in 1986.

During this time, I was a member of the Washburn Society of International Law, here I was president from 1985-1986. I was also a member and research editor of the Washburn Law Journal from 1984 – 1986. I was admitted to the bar in 1986...

I grew up around Baytown, attending Ross Sterling High School and Lee College before attending University of Houston for my BA and for law school. I have officed in Baytown since 1981. I have two children...April who sat for the Bar Exam in February, 2010 and received her law license in May, 2010. She works with me at Turner Law Office. Christopher will finish law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston in December 2011 and expects to sit for the February 2012 Bar Exam.
