James King attended Southside High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was active in athletics and graduated in 2002. After high school, he attended University of Louisiana, Lafayette, and earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in political science/pre-law and a minor in English. Sara graduated from Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2010. She went on to be the first intern at the prestigious Trial Lawyer's College in Wyoming which produces some of the most skilled trial attorneys in the country.

She understands the needs of injury victims as she spent the last nine years practicing criminal law in Brownsville. She represented hundreds of clients over that time.
