I attended the University of Oklahoma and the Chicago School of the Art Institute before receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois in 1982. I graduated from Chicago Kent Law School in 1994, where I was a member of the 1993 Trial Team. My career began in Indiana, where I practiced community environmental law.
