Ed Williams earned his Juris Doctorate with honors, Cum Laude, in 2016 from Mississippi College School of Law. Ed completed his undergraduate work at Mississippi State University where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science.

While in law school, Ed was a member of the MC Law Moot Court Board, Law Student Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta Honors Program, American Association for Justice, and the Mississippi Association for Justice. Williams & Nickl concentrates its practice on the representation and defense of licensed professionals before the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Edward is a former Chief of General Prosecutions for IDFPR as well as the Chief of Real Estate Prosecutions. Since 1992, our firm has represented hundreds of doctors, dentists, nurses and other health-care workers. We also have represented hundreds of licensees in various business professions such as Detective, Security, Alarm, Real Estate, Real Estate Appraisal, Funeral Director, Mortgage Broker, etc.

I started my career in the justice system as a police officer for 16 years. I move to the District Attorney's office after graduating from law school. I was team leader in the vehicular crimes division. In 2000 began my career in private practice. I am now a partner at May & Ryan, PLC we do litigation work mainly in the criminal defense arena with an added emphasis on DUI defense.

I am admitted to practice in Massachusetts (MA) and Rhode Island (RI) and serve people from Blackstone, Millville, Mendon, Uxbridge, Milford, Bellingham and Franklin, MA and Woonsocket, North Smithfield, Burrillville, Cumberland and Lincoln, RI as well as out of state clients with matters pending in any of the courts of Providence County, RI or Worcester, Norfolk and Bristol Counties in MA. I am also a Notary Public in both states as well as a licensed real estate broker in MA.
