Robert J. Cleek, a San Francisco native, attended St. Joseph's College Seminary and the University of San Francisco, graduating in 1970. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked for nearly a decade in law enforcement as a correctional officer and counselor at San Quentin State Prison.
