I started my law career as an assistant district attorney at the District Attorney's Office in El Paso County, Texas. After almost three years of prosecuting cases, I switched sides and joined the El Paso County Public Defender's Office. Although I loved my work as a deputy public defender, I decided to become a solo practitioner in 2016.
