After his first year of practice, his name was cemented in Minnesota Supreme Court case law, and within five he’d been to the Eighth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, won jury trials, won bench trials, won appeals, and had significant victories throughout Minnesota at the district courts. Prior to law school, David graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Brigham Young University. David attended Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law where he graduated cum laude. After law school, David clerked for a year for the Honorable Daniel A. Barker of the Arizona Court of Appeals before heading to New York University to do a Law Masters degree in Tax.
