Virginia Ann Jacobson

Coming from central New York originally, after attending Cornell University and then State Univ. of New York at Buffalo School of Law, Ms. Jacobson made Prescott, Arizona her home. After five years as a passionate and hard working deputy public defender, Ms. Jacobson continues to provide consultation, self-help and traditional representation in the areas of family law, child custody and divorce, juvenile, guardianship and conservatorship, and select civil practice areas. Ms. Jacobson has been active as a Board Member and fundraiser with local non-profit Prescott People Who Care from 2008 through 2016 (serving as board president in 2010-2011, then vice president in 2011-2013) and as a member of PEAC (Prevention of Elder Abuse Coalition) through 2016. She continues as an active volunteer with People Who Care to this day, and urges you to consider volunteering with this wonderful non-profit. Ms. Jacobson is also trained in mediation, grant writing and advocacy. Lastly, she has taught as an adjunct professor at Yavapai College for several years, teaching the Criminal Law and Procedure and the Civil Tort Litigation courses in the Paralegal program through 2014. She continues to value serving those in need of legal help and access to the court system and volunteering in her community.
