Activities: Mr. Taylor is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Commercial Real Estate Law and Residential Real Estate Law. Mr. Taylor is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Travis County Bar Association, and the Texas Association of Bank Counsel.

Activities: Mr. Taylor is an active leader in numerous civic, church, and community activities. In 2003, he served as President of The Real Estate Council of Austin and chaired RECA's Executive Committee and Board of Directors, as well as sitting on the boards for both the RECA Good Government PAC and the RECA Business MPAC. Mr. Taylor is continuing his leadership in RECA on the Presidents' Council, the Board, Executive Committee, and Good Government PAC. Mr. Taylor is also on the Board of Directors of The Seton Fund and serves on its real estate committee. He is President of the Headliners Club in 2004, the Club's 50th Anniversary Year. He is also on the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the Headliners Club and is a past chairman of the Membership Committee. Mr. Taylor is a founding director of the Greater Austin Economic Development Corporation and a leader for its "Opportunity Austin" campaign and program. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the YMBL Sunshine Foundation, of which he was a founding director and its first president. Mr. Taylor also serves on of the Community Advisory Board for Caritas of Austin, having chaired that board in 1996 and in 1998, and he continues to serve on its executive committee. Mr. Taylor is active in his support of the Children's Hospital of Austin, being a founding member of the Children's Hospital Council and serving as co-chair of that Council in 1997, and also having co-chaired the 1997 Children's Hospital Gala. Mr. Taylor has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce as well as General Counsel for the Chamber in 2001 and 2002. He is a past president and board member of the Young Men's Business League and the Austin YMBL Sunshine Camps. Mr. Taylor has served many other organizations in Austin, and he has been a Director of the Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Washington & Lee University Central Texas Alumni Chapter, Center for Battered Women (now SafePlace), Ronald McDonald House and the West Austin Youth Association. Mr. Taylor is an Elder in Westminster Presbyterian Church of Austin, Texas, serving his second term on Westminster's Board of Trustees, and he has chaired the Stewardship Committee since 2002. He previously served on the Session and Board of Trustees 1996 to 1998, and he was Clerk of the Session in 1998. In 1998, Mr. Taylor was honored as one of the recipients of the "Austin Under 40" Award, given to recognize outstanding Austin citizens under the age of 40. In 2003, he was named one of the best real estate lawyers in Austin by the Austin Business Journal, one of only four attorneys to receive such honor. Mr. Taylor was also recognized by Texas Monthly in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 as one of the "Super Lawyers" in Central Texas. He is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America under Real Estate Law.
