Oppenheimer Patents
I am a patent attorney. My fields are the software, electrical, and mechanical arts. I specialize in writing AND illustrating carefully drafted patent applications. I can also engage in patent prosecution and related areas of patent practice.
My background in technology began at Cornell University where I was a College Scholar, with my studies emphasizing physics, applied mathematics, and philosophy. After Cornell I spent some early career years in writing, computer programmming, and technical illustration.
I then spent over a decade as a technical writing, creating users guides and some highly formal, technical documentation for electronic, software, and communications systems.
In 2005 I took and passed the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's patent bar exam, and became a patent agent. I worked for over three years as a patent agent at the patent law firm of Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein and Fox.
In 2011 I became a later-life law student at American University. I graduate in the top 20% in 2015 and passed the Maryland bar (on the first try...) in 2017. I am now a licensed patent attorney.
As I write this (February, 2018) I am currently drafting patent applications on a contract basis as a subcontractor to several IP law firms.
