Steven Andreacchi's practices in the areas of automotive law and insurance coverage. He focuses on commercial litigation, representing primarily motor vehicle distributors/importers, financing entities, and dealerships in connection with a broad range of commercial disputes. Steve advises automotive clients with respect to contractual, legal, and industry-specific regulatory obligations and serves as assistant outside regional counsel for a major national motor vehicle distributor. Steve also works in the firm’s insurance practice group, where he assists in representation of insurance companies in litigation of high-value coverage disputes arising out of defective construction, environmental pollution, and asbestos claims. In addition to preparing comprehensive insurance coverage opinion letters, pleadings and dispositive motions in declaratory judgment actions, he has dealt with complex coverage issues such as conflicts between insurers over allocation of indemnity and defense obligations.
Steve has substantial experience reviewing and analyzing a variety of commercial contracts including distributor and financing company dealer agreements and insurance contracts issued in connection with major construction projects. He practices in the state and federal courts of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, regularly resolving cases through settlement, arbitration, and trial. Recent accomplishments include involvement in a declaratory judgment action and subsequent appeal on behalf of automotive clients that led to a favorable, broad-reaching published decision from the Pennsylvania Superior Court regarding the recoverability of a plaintiff’s attorneys’ fees incurred at pre-litigation arbitration.
