Stephen Brown
Candidate for Circuit Judge, Attorney, Mediator, Real Estate Broker, Volunteer
Stephen Brown graduated with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Prior to law school, he earned dual bachelors degrees at The Florida State University covering three majors: Political Science, Social Science and Environmental Studies.
At the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Stephen participated in the Virgil Hawkins Family Law Clinic where he helped several clients navigate through various family law issues. He also participated in an externship at Florida Institutional Legal Services assisting inmates in the Florida Department of Corrections obtain various services upon their release to help prevent recidivism. Additionally, he assisted research for a federal class action lawsuit against the Florida Department of Corrections alleging inhumane treatment of many inmates.
After law school, Stephen accepted an appointment to become an Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida. As an Assistant State Attorney, his focus was to develop his trial skills to gain litigation experience. He tried 75 cases in County, Circuit, and Juvenile Court and resolved more than 2000 cases short of trial in fewer than four years at the State Attorney's Office.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoys the great lifestyle that Central Florida has to offer. In his spare time (however slight) you could find him at a local bookstore, themepark, restaurant, or at the dog park with his Italian Greyhound, Rocco. His philosophy is to enjoy life and he'd love to help you sort out your legal problems so that you can de-stress and better enjoy your life.
