Attorney Staci Krause first worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office before becoming a defense attorney. She then worked with Soyars & Morgan Law, a highly-respected criminal defense law firm in San Antonio, Texas, before starting her own law firm in 2018. Since then, Attorney Krause has defended hundreds of people with her knowledge of criminal law. She was awarded the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association’s Young Attorney of the Year, and in 2020, the SA Scene listed her as one of the Best of SA 2020. Attorney Krause firmly believes in her clients’ right to recovery and a future, and she is deeply passionate about criminal defense. Q. Ticket for going 76 ina 60 in tx I got a ticket, no price the officer said I have to go to court how can I get out of it

A: You will need to show up to court to find out more details about how you can resolve it. If it's your first ticket, there's probably quite a few options they would be willing to offer you. If you want to fight it, you should show up and tell them you want to fight it.

Q. I was wondering what to do or to find out why they changed a release date 4 years difference

A: An attorney can look into why that was changed. It could be any number of reasons. There could have been a miscalculation that has been corrected, or he picked up a new case you don't know about and pled to it. An attorney who can look at exactly what his situation could give you a concrete answer.

Q. Will my parole get violated if I get a misdemeanor theft, enhanced to a state jail felony, while under supervision?

A: Yes. Your parole is violated if you commit any new offense while on parole. Now, whether you will be revoked for that is another story. That is going to be up to the parole board after a parole revocation hearing is held, which is only done after the pending case is resolved. It will depend on how well you've been doing on the parole, and what the ultimate outcome of your case is, and who your hearing officer is.
