The Armfield Law Firm is a minority and woman-owned law firm. The firm draws on the extensive and diversified experience of its principal, Sonya N. In addition, we are well versed with all contract and commercial surety instruments. The firm’s experience with fidelity bonds enables it to assist with various types of bonding vehicles. We review bond disputes, ascertain appropriate bond defenses and make recommendations regarding claim coverage disputes. Small and medium-sized corporate and franchise businesses are provided with formation and startup, litigation, and contract law services. The firm helps businesses with general corporate needs, including strategies for business development and marketing, intellectual property, daily business operations, employment matters, negotiations of contracts with third parties, issuance of stock, minutes of board and shareholder meetings. We also assist with purchases and sales of stock and assets, conflict resolution and confidentiality and non-compete agreement issues. The firm also provides Recovery, Business Formation and Succession Planning assistance. All disputes are resolved through mediation, arbitration and litigation. The Armfield Law Firm is committed to helping others. A significant amount of services are donated to pro bono and volunteer efforts. Ongoing assistance is provided to the Homeless Persons Representation Project, Inc.
and the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono program. In 2013, the firm was able to obtain a remand of a challenging case adjudicated in the U. S Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
