Sean Jeffers
Sean prides himself on providing practical, timely advice for his clients with a view to resolving disputes through litigation, mediation and other dispute resolution forums.
With over 18 years of litigation experience, Sean recognizes that each matter is unique and he strives to provide creative, cost-effective solutions for his clients. He has represented clients before all levels of Court in Alberta and in other Western Canadian Provinces and has extensive experience representing clients in complex multi-party dispute resolution processes.
Sean’s practice focuses on both plaintiff and defence of catastrophic personal injury and fatality litigation arising out of industrial accidents, motor vehicle accidents, and occupier’s liability incidents. He frequently represents clients in first-party claims, complex coverage disputes, life and disability insurance claims, large loss subrogation matters, and SEF 44 policy litigation. Sean also acts for clients involved in construction litigation, representing developers, design professionals, contractors, and project managers involved in complex building and design deficiency, property loss and delay claims.
In addition to maintaining his established civil litigation practice, Sean is a formally trained mediator. His extensive experience representing clients within this dispute resolution forum allows him to understand the different positions of parties in both small and complex litigation matters, and to provide creative solutions to resolve the issues at hand.
Sean is actively involved in the legal community, regularly volunteering with the Alberta Law Society as a CPLED evaluator and educator. He also frequently gives seminars to clients on developments within the insurance defence practice area.
Outside of the office, Sean enjoys spending time at the lake with his family and dogs.
