I am a Partner at Lax, Neville & Intelisano, LLP. My practice is focused on securities and commercial litigation, arbitration, and financial regulatory matters. Before my current role, I was a Partner at Kaufmann Gildin & Robbins LLP for 13 years, working closely with David E. Robbins, the author of the "Securities Arbitration Procedures Manual," a key resource in the field.
Throughout my career, I have represented a diverse group of clients including individual investors, hedge funds, brokerage firms, and registered representatives in both arbitration (FINRA, AAA, and JAMS) and state and federal court proceedings. I have successfully recovered tens of millions of dollars for victims of various forms of financial misconduct such as unsuitable recommendations, unauthorized trading, securities fraud, Ponzi schemes, municipal bond fraud, improper margin liquidations, theft of account assets, excessive trading to generate commissions, and breach of fiduciary duty in fee-based managed accounts. Additionally, I have represented hedge funds in multi-million-dollar actions against their prime brokers concerning miscalculations of portfolio margin that led to improper margin liquidations. I have also advocated for registered representatives and financial advisors in disputes over breach of contract, compensation issues, and Form U-5 expungements.
Before embarking on my legal career, I spent over four years as a registered financial advisor at two wealth management firms. This experience in the securities industry has provided me with a unique foundation that enhances my ability to advocate for employees and investors who have been adversely affected.
I am an active member of the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association (PIABA) and have been recognized as one of the New York Super Lawyers Rising Stars, an honor awarded to less than 2.5% of attorneys in the state.
