As the son of Ecuadorian immigrants, I was raised observing the power of perseverance, hard work, and resilience. My path has not been linear—after high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving actively, including a tour in Afghanistan. This period instilled in me discipline, adaptability, and a profound sense of responsibility, which today define my approach to practicing law.
Following my military service, I refocused on my education and obtained my law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, graduating with honors. I started my legal career as a judicial intern, then acquired substantial trial experience as a prosecutor for the State of Illinois. In this role, I managed cases from arraignment through trial, establishing a solid foundation in criminal law. Before this, I honed my advocacy and litigation skills working in personal injury and medical malpractice.
I believe that life is unpredictable, and no one should be judged solely by their lowest point. With years of experience as an ombudsman, I have dedicated myself to ensuring that individuals facing tough situations have a voice in the process. My profound understanding of people, coupled with my empathetic approach, enables me to connect with clients and discover fair and effective solutions to their legal problems. I take pride in being both a strong legal strategist and a compassionate guide, helping clients navigate not only their cases but also the stress and uncertainty that often accompany them.
