Reza Ghafoorian, MD, Esq. is the founder of G2Z Law Group, PLLC and a dual trained patent and healthcare attorney. With over 10 years of experience as a health care attorney, he counsels clients on health law and health care regulations, including, fraud and abuse, such as antikickback statutes and Stark Law, privacy and security, such as HIPAA and HITECH statutes, reimbursements, CMS appeals and telemedicine/telehealth. Dr. Ghafoorian also represents clients in obtaining state Certificate of Needs, peer-review/hospital privilege proceedings related to medical staff privileges, and health care professional disciplinary hearings.
Dr. Ghafoorian has also over 14 years of experience in representing clients in patent law, including over 7 years as an Examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office in the biotechnology arts. As a patent attorney, Dr. Ghafoorian drafts and prosecutes domestic and international patent applications in the fields of biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, bioinformatics and software.
