I trust Paul with all of my clients and I am confident that he provides the same service as if I was handling the case myself.

Above and beyond I couldn’t have asked for better representation of myself in the court of law. Paul is amazing at what he does and it felt like he truly cared about my well being. I could never express how thankful I am for his services. Thank you, Paul, for all your hard work.

Biography

I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, where I also pursued my higher education. I graduated with a law degree from the University of Akron School of Law in 2020. During my law school years, I volunteered at Akron Law’s expungement clinic, assisting previously convicted community members in clearing their records for a new beginning. My legal practice is primarily focused on criminal defense representation.

My educational journey includes an Associate degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, in addition to my law degree, all obtained from the University of Akron. I have dedicated my life to serving both my local community and the nation. I served six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and was activated for Operation Desert Storm.

Before obtaining my Juris Doctor, I spent twenty-seven years with the Akron Police Department. A significant part of my career there involved assignments in the Detective Bureau, U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, and Uniform Patrol Division.

In 1999, I was honored with the Russ Long Officer of the Year Award by the Akron Police Department. This award is given annually to an officer who exemplifies the outstanding qualities of Russ Long.

I am a member of the Portage County and State of Ohio Bar Associations, as well as the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Legal Answers
6 Questions Answered
Q. Can I be charged for sending a threatening text as a first-time offender?
A: Hello, charges are possible depending on the language in the text and/or whether or not you’ve been told to not contact the receiver of the text message.
Q. What to do about a 6-year-old warrant for driving under suspension in Ohio?
A: For my clients in a similar position, I contact the court and make arrangements to bring them into court to recall the warrant. If the client is out of town, I will motion for my client to appear via Zoom. The court will then set the matter for a pretrial and I'll discuss a resolution with the prosecutor. It would be very helpful if your driving status was valid at this time. You can go to the Ohio BMV page to check your driving status and/or any reinstatement requirements. I hope this helps.
Q. In Ohio if I Swerve in my lane can an officer pull me over legally?
A: Hello, most police cruisers are equipped with a dash camera that should show the swerving in question. An officer may pull you over for swerving within your lane if the officer reasonably suspects a traffic violation has occurred, such as impaired driving or texting while driving. Consult with a local attorney to explore all of your options.
