- #longPEBdisplay:none;Mr. Friedman was of counsel at Shea Gardner prior to its combination with Goodwin Procter in 2004.Previously, during thirty years of law practice, Mr. Friedman has served as the co-founder and director of a nationally recognized public interest law firm, the co-founder and managing partner of a boutique litigation firm in Washington, D.C. and as Deputy Associate Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).As Deputy Associate Attorney General at DOJ, Mr. Friedman was responsible for leading a series of department-wide policy reviews and initiatives, including the Attorney General’s Access to Justice and Alternative Dispute Resolution Initiatives, the Attorney General’s Working Group on Security Clearances and a DOJ Coordinating Committee on Computer and Information Technology Issues.
