
Patricia Anne Savage
Patricia A. Savage graduated from U.C. Berkeley's Rhetoric program with Honors in 1999. After attending Berkeley, Ms. Savage attended Santa Clara University School of Law where she was awarded Best Oral Advocate during her first year, served as Secretary of Santa Clara's Environmental Law Society, was a Member of the Governing Board of the National Association of Environmental Law Societies, and was a selected participant in the International Environmental Moot Court Competition, Fla. (2001). Ms. Savage spent her final year of Law School as a visiting student at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento.
For the past eight years, after starting the practice of law, Ms. Savage has been primarily engaged in employment and class action law with a focus on wage and hour issues, including active litigation in the following areas: Misclassification, Overtime, Meal and Rest Period Violations, Business Expense Reimbursement, Computer Professional Exemptions, and On-Call time. Ms. Savage's litigation experience also includes individual allegations re: National Origin Discrimination, Age Discrimination, Race Discrimination, Disability Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Wrongful Termination, Retaliation, violations of the California Family Rights Act, hearings before the Employment Development Department, Experience with filing with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Fair Employment and Housing Act, and the Private Attorneys' General Act; and litigation involving skilled nursing facilities regarding allegations of understaffing and elder abuse.
Ms. Savage is also a contributing attorney to employer defense in the provision of articles regarding evolving wage and hour issues in the workplace, including updated Fair Employment and Housing legislation and new rulings related to the misclassification of employees. Her active litigation includes direct involvement in some of the largest employment class actions in California in the past 5 years in courts throughout CA.
