Mycol E. Scott
Long, Ragsdale & Waters P.C.
Profile:
Mycol Scott is one of the firm’s “homegrown” transactional attorneys and has been with the firm since he graduated law school and passed the Tennessee Bar Exam in 2019. Since then, he has focused on developing his law practice in the general areas listed above.
Mycol grew up in the Bearden area and is an alumnus of the University of Tennessee (’16, G’19). Being a person who subscribes to the “don’t fix it if it’s not broken” mentality, Mycol continues to reside in the Bearden area with his wife Hannah, a kindergarten teacher, and their two dogs.
When Mycol is not in the office, he is likely spending time with Hannah and/or family close family, making music, enjoying a good glass of scotch; or, doing all three of the foregoing concurrently. He also enjoys working out, tinkering on the set up of one of his guitars, shooting sports, writing, going to comedy shows, boxing and training in mixed martial arts (having previously had the opportunity to train with multiple UFC fighters).
Representation a & Services:
Mycol likes a good challenge and is passionate about what he does. He sincerely enjoys learning as much as he can about each client’s unique circumstances and finding the best ways to help each client achieve their goals, while also protecting their best interests in the long term. In that same vein, he generally strives to “pull the curtain back” and educate clients intermittently throughout their matter to promote their autonomy and success moving forward.
Mycol assists clients with a wide variety of matters which are encompassed by, or interrelated with, his practice areas. In particular, really enjoys assisting non-profits with their legal needs and providing companies with general advice and assistance, in a somewhat of an “outsourced in-house counsel” capacity.
