As someone who came to the practice of law after a successful career in government contracts and e-commerce, I was determined not to be the kind of attorney I frequently encountered as a businessman - the kind that throws up hurdles and stops business from accomplishing its objectives. Developed a successful contract management process for sales contracts valued in excess of $38M, which standardized the contract template and terms resulting in fewer defaults and disputes. Attended several trade events and education seminars and developed a network of suppliers and potential buyers. Presented training and extemporaneous dialogue with staff, management, and corporate officers on various topics related to compliance. Led a staff of three compliance specialists providing support to vehicle and mil-spec vessel sales in all 50 states and internationally.

Developed and maintained beneficial relationships with third party logistics suppliers, competitors, customers, and officials from the U.K. Ministry of Defence to effect the smooth transition of parts disposal from the incumbent contractor to the new operation. Introduced a new web-based parts sales platform, and identified key performance indicators to measure sales performance. Developed operational procedures and key performance indicators to measure compliance with contract requirements, resulting in 100% contract compliance during my tenure as project manager. Managed a team of fifteen British and German employees at multiple locations in the UK and Germany. Met or exceeded all operational goals, while controlling spending within the organization’s annual budget of £1.5 million. Left the UK operation in a state of successful expansion.
