
Mohamed Samir
Dr. Mohamed Samir is a seasoned legal expert with over 30 years of practice, known for his success in representing major corporations and winning high-stakes international arbitrations both within and outside Egypt. His passion for reshaping the legal landscape in Egypt led him to earn his Bachelor of Law from Cairo University in 1992. He later pursued a Master’s in International Business Law (1997) and a Diplôme d’Études Approfondies in Business Contract Law from Montpellier University. In 2000, he was awarded a PhD from the same university, specializing in major industrial and commercial transactions.
Dr. Samir has played a pivotal role in negotiating and drafting complex agreements, including joint ventures and cross-border infrastructure projects like the Jordanian Gas Transmission Pipeline. His legal expertise extends to intellectual property and media law, where he has led transformative initiatives in Egypt’s media sector.
In 2016, he founded Al Motaheda for Media Services (UMS), driving major acquisitions and trademark strategies, including the historic public auction sale of the “Al Hayah” trademark—recognized by WIPO as the first Arab trademark sold publicly in the Middle East. He also oversaw the DMC network acquisition and the legal framework for UMS subsidiaries, securing trademarks under the international (Nice) classification.
Dr. Samir is deeply involved in strategic legal planning, contract structuring, and ensuring regulatory compliance across sectors. His cross-functional approach and ability to align legal processes with market trends have positioned him as a trusted advisor to both public and private entities.
