Michelle T. Chase
Although I have been in practice since 1987, I actually began my legal career as a clerk in a small Chicago law firm at the age of 15. I worked at this firm through high school, college, and law school and eventually as an associate attorney once I passed the bar. My position as an associate gave me much litigation and negotiation experience which I used in my next position as house counsel for an insurance company. This position increased my litigation skills and also improved my negotiation and client relationship skills. After several years, I left this firm as my husband and I started a family, and the firm did not have a part-time program for its attorneys. After a brief hiatus from the practice of law, I opened a small part-time real estate practice from a home office. As my three children grew older, my practice grew as well. I transitioned to a full-time real estate practice in 2005, and in 2010, I moved my office to my present location in Naperville. I enjoyed the practice of real estate because it combines the logic of contract law and interpretation with negotiation and client interaction. And, the outcome of every transaction is typically positive. My practice grows larger every year, and I am blessed to receive referrals from many Realtors and past clients. I truly enjoy what I do. I chaired the DuPage County Bar Association Real Estate Committee for two years and coordinated monthly speakers on various topics of interest to the real estate bar.
