Michelle Allott graduated magna cum laude from the University of Rhode Island and obtained her JD from the University of Maine School of Law. Since graduating in 1989, Michelle has been practicing predominantly in the field of civil litigation. Her practice has been focused on personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability and construction and environmental litigation. She continues to practice in these areas, as well as commercial litigation.
Michelle is a skilled trial attorney, who combines conciliation in a traditionally adversarial process. As such, Michelle has developed a successful mediation practice, which she hopes to expand. These mediation services are available throughout the state of Maine.
Michelle is a commissioner on the Maine Lawyers Assistance Commission and a member of the Maine Bar Foundation. She practices in both state and federal court, where she is admitted to the U.S. District Court of Maine, U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Freeport Rotary Club and a Board member of the Freeport Chamber of Commerce.
In Michelle's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Wynne and husband, Scott. She enjoys skiing, kayaking and biking. She has participated in the Trek Across Maine and other biking and sailing events to raise money for the American Lung Association, the MS Society and for ALS Research.
