Professional Experience

: Current; Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Mr. McNamara was an associate at Baker Botts, LLP as a patent litigator and prosecutor. Before attending law school, he worked as a telephone systems consultant for IMA, Inc. designing call center systems for ATT. Before working at IMA, Mr. McNamara spent two years at Digital Equipment Corporation as a design engineer developing and testing high speed network switches for enterprise class servers.His responsibilities included designing and prototyping a PCI based network switch for memory mapped data transmission.Mr. McNamara’s technical expertise includes hardware design, architecture level design, static timing analysis, C/C++/Synopsys software design and testing. This experience has been applied to the development of voice and data communications systems.
