Brief Bio for Attorneys Mike Haas & Amanda Wilson:

Mike and Amanda grew up in Alaska. Mike is from rural S.E. Alaska and Amanda is from Anchorage. Mike received his bachelor's degree from Willamette University and Amanda received hers from Oregon State University. Mike attended California Western School of Law in San Diego and obtained his Juris Doctorate. Amanda obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law in Laramie.

Amanda worked as a legislative aid in the Alaska Legislature. She also served in the Peace Corps in Lesotho, Africa. Both are successful criminal and appellate practitioners. Mike has litigated cases ranging from minor traffic offenses to aggravated murder and has argued about two dozen times before the State Court of Appeals and State Supreme Court. In addition, both possess extensive civil litigation experience having successfully litigated contract disputes, wrongful death and serious bodily injury matters, divorces and child custody issues, land use matters, guardianships, and probate matters.

Mike also headed up the felony defense program in a central Washington county, and most recently, had the privilege of serving as the elected Prosecuting Attorney/Coroner in Jefferson County, Washington.

Mike and Amanda possess more than 44 years of combined experience.

Most importantly, though, Amanda and Mike have found deep satisfaction guiding families through significant and trying times, in hundreds of matters; particularly when it comes to estate planning, planning for the needs of the elderly and physically or mentally disabled, or handling the probate or administration of an estate following the death of a loved one.

  • Rates, Retainers and Additional Information
Please contact us and we will be more than happy to send you our fee schedule. In order to maintain a logical, consistent, and fair pricing system, most services we provide use a fixed fee arrangement. In other words, you will usually know the cost of an estate plan before any work begins. Our estate planning packages include: • Your initial intake • Review of your existing estate planning documents • An initial 60-minute consultation with one of our attorneys • Drafting of the necessary documents • A 30 - 60 minute consultation with one of our attorneys to answer questions or make changes to the drafts • A final meeting with staff or one of our attorneys to execute the document Please remember, no fee is set until the initial meeting. Rates may change based on the complexity of your estate planning needs. Where it makes more sense for both of us, an hourly rate may be charged. Our hourly rate is $300/hr. for attorneys and $90.00/hr. for support staff.
