If there is one thing that helps me maximize the results for clients, it is the valuable experience I gained on the "other" side while working as a defense lawyer for the insurance companies. Defending and going to trial on the very same types of cases I now handle provided unique insight into the thought processes of insurance adjusters, their bosses (the real decisionmakers), and the attorneys they hire to try to minimize or defeat your claim.
I handle wrongful death and most types of serious personal injury cases throughout North Carolina, but I am also licensed in Florida, where I continue to handle select cases. In 2013, I earned national board certification in civil trial law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and I earned re-certification in 2019. I have obtained an "AV Preeminent" rating from confidential reviews by my peers and judges. This is the highest rating a lawyer can have under the Martindale-Hubbell rating system and it is based on a lawyer's proven legal ability and ethics.
