I don’t like to leave bad reviews, however the level of fail was so high.. I was recommended to this law firm by a friend whose dad used them approximately 20 years ago. At my initial consultation with Mel, I was reassured. It was a simple case. I was given dates that we would be finished, and that never came to fruition, I was promised meetings with the opposing side that never happened. He made myself and my soon to be ex-wife and her lawyer show up to court when there was nothing to discuss, and we were still in the middle of trying to figure everything out.(In my opinion, it was a Moneygrab, Of almost $900 each visit) After over two years and an absorbent amount of money, I decided to fire Mel Stein, and obtain a new attorney. In the first meeting with the opposing side, in less than two hours, my new attorney was able to settle the case with my soon to be ex-wife. With all the same information and facts that Mel Stein had for two years. Mel has no negotiating skills, or he chooses not to negotiate and continue to bill and Bill and Bill and Bill. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone. I have found other reviews on other forums online that reflect what happened to me almost exactly. It’s a shame I didn’t see them before I hired him.
