Matthew Burkert
Constantinou & Burkert, PLLC
Matthew Burkert was raised in Durham, North Carolina, and still resides in the same area he grew up in. He is a graduate of East Carolina University, where he received a bachelor’s degree majoring in Criminal Justice in 2008. Matt then attended North Carolina Central University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 2012. He passed the North Carolina Bar Exam in February, 2013, becoming a licensed attorney in the State. Matt joined the Constantinou Law Group, PA as a law clerk while in law school in 2010. He remained at the firm after passing the bar, becoming an associate attorney. In April, 2023, Matt formed Constantinou & Burkert, PLLC, becoming the managing partner.
While not practicing law, Matt is usually spending time with his wife, Daisy, and two kids, Meelo and Della. He enjoys the outdoors, eating, or watching sports – including the Durham Bulls, ECU Pirates, and Duke Blue Devils. Matt also remains an active member of his community by supporting local groups with his time and donations.

- A: As long as you have lived in North Carolina for at least six months, you can file an action in the County in which you reside for an uncontested divorce.
