Maria I Olmeda
Maria earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Puerto Rico, an MBA from the University of Southern Mississippi and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico. She is a standing member of the State Bar of Texas and is currently admitted to the Southern District Court of Texas. She is also a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.).
As a mediator, she has facilitated the negotiation of consensual and informed settlements for individuals and businesses, resulting in avoided court litigation and lower legal expenses.
As a contracts lawyer working in the public sector, Maria provicded legal guidance and hands on expertise in the development of inter departmental agreements, service contracts and requests for proposals. Her experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts has resulted in lower overall costs.
Maria's experience in the private sector is based on a solutions focused approach. As a licensed engineer, she provided expertise in the application of state and municipal construction and conditional use permits. She led several Operations, Quality/Six Sigma and Human Resources positions in Mississippi, Delaware and Puerto Rico with sharp business acumen and proven results.
