Marcus L Hunt
Helping You Navigate Your Franchise and Business Law NeedsMarcus L. Hunt is a partner with Duell | Hunt law firm. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and his undergraduate degree in History/Political Science from East Texas Baptist University. Marcus has been admitted to practice in the State of Alabama and before the United States District Courts for Alabama. Marcus represents franchise clients across the United States and internationally. He has helped both start-up companies and entrepreneurs reach their goals through franchising as well as established franchise companies that have a global presence. Marcus’ franchise law practice involves counseling franchise clients through each step of the franchise creation and registration process. Marcus is a vital team member for many of the franchise companies that he serves. Together with Richard Duell, Marcus founded the Alabama Franchise Alliance, a statewide association for franchise companies and suppliers. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Franchising. Marcus also has an active real estate law practice. Through South Oak Title, he assists clients in the closing of real estate transactions and residential and commercial loan closings including SBA loans. South Oak Title works with real estate agents and lenders throughout Alabama. Mr. Hunt also represents clients in the entertainment and arts industry. As part of his course of study, Marcus attended Southwestern University School of Law’s Entertainment Law Program. Upon entering private practice, Mr. Hunt founded Alabama Lawyers for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides legal support for artists and arts organizations. He has advised clients and leads numerous workshops and seminars for artists and arts organizations on topics such as copyrights, trademarks, and artists contracts.
