Lynnea Taylor was born and raised in Connecticut. In 1999, she received her B.A. in Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry from Quinnipiac (College) University, Hamden, Connecticut. After relocating to Massachusetts in 2000, she began a career with the pharmaceutical company Merck & Co. In 2007, she received her J.D., cum laude, from New England School of Law, Boston, where she served on the New England Law Review.

During her studies, Lynnea turned her attention to constitutional law, ultimately co-authoring, with Lawrence Friedman, the treatise THE MASSACHUSETTS STATE CONSTITUTION (Oxford University Press). Following her graduation, Lynnea served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Chief Justice Karyn Scheier of the Massachusetts Land Court.

Before opening Taylor Law as a solo attorney, Lynnea joined the law firm of Blatman, Bobrowski & Mead, LLC. There she served as Town Counsel to a number of municipalities across the Commonwealth and worked with private clients on land use and estate matters. Today, Lynnea focuses primarily in matrimonial and family law, family estate planning, land disputes and zoning matters.

Advise and issue legal opinions to municipal clients on a wide range of legal matters, with a focus on public contracting, procurement and land use matters. Represent municipal and private clients at zoning board, planning board, and selectmen’s meetings, and before the various trial and appellate courts in the Commonwealth. Draft Pleadings, motions and discovery in connection with litigation on behalf of municipal and private clients. Assist private clients in all areas of land use, zoning and estate management.

Researched and drafted proposed orders, decisions, and memoranda related to the full array of cases within the Land Court’s jurisdiction. Attended motions sessions, hearings, and trials, while working closely with the Chief Justice on a daily basis.

Selected through a competitive application process to receive one of a limited number of New England School of Law sponsored Judicial Internships.
