Luis Martinez

Luis E. Martinez, Esq. is an attorney at Perez Mayoral, P.A., where he focuses his practice on representing homeowners and unit owners in disputes against condominium and homeowners associations. Luis has built his practice group around advocating for individuals navigating complex association disputes, leveraging his deep understanding of HOA governance, arbitration, and mediation processes. Using his broad litigation experience, he also handles a variety of real estate litigation, commercial disputes, and business litigation matters, providing clients with comprehensive legal representation.

Prior to joining Perez Mayoral, P.A., Luis worked as an attorney in the insurance defense sector, where he represented large national insurers in matters involving insurance coverage and other insurance-related disputes. This experience provided him with valuable insight into the strategies employed by insurers, which he now utilizes to advocate effectively for his clients.

Luis earned his Juris Doctor and a Certificate in Intellectual Property from St. Thomas University College of Law, where he consistently achieved placement on the Dean’s List. His intellectual property certification enhances his business litigation practice, equipping him to counsel corporate and business clients on a range of intellectual property-related matters, including trademark issues, copyright concerns, and other proprietary rights.

Before becoming an attorney, Luis developed a strong foundation in the legal field by working as a paralegal. He gained significant experience in commercial litigation, personal injury cases, and insurance disputes, as well as working at a firm that represented HOA and condominium associations. This unique experience provided him with valuable insight into the strategies and operations of associations, which he now leverages to advocate effectively for homeowners and unit owners in disputes against those entities.
