Before attending law school, Linda worked as a research scientist, gaining experience in a wide variety of molecular biological techniques, including recombinant DNA technology, cloning from whole animal sources, protein expression and purification, and various techniques in electrophoresis as well as natural product isolation and purification.She also performed developmental studies that focused on the discovery and characterization of homeotic mutations.During graduate school, Linda did research relating to the molecular structure of the protein, actin, using electron microscopy and image analysis. For the past five years, Linda has done extensive work in the litigation of pharmaceutical patents and has done appellate work in the pharmaceutical and business methods technology areas. Linda has been involved in all phases of trial preparation, including depositions, the preparation of expert reports, jury research, and preparation of witnesses for trial testimony. In addition, she has done opinion work relating to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device patents. She has also counseled pharmaceutical companies on a wide variety of intellectual property issues, and is currently helping to coordinate an international patent enforcement program, again in the pharmaceutical field.
