Hastings College of the Law, While at Hastings, Ms. Owens was a member of the Constitutional Law Quarterly and participated in several national moot court competitions. In 2003, Ms. Owens was a member of the first place team at the Evan A. Evans Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition and the first place team in California at the National Moot Court Competition. Ms. Owens also served as a teacher's assistant for legal writing & research, moot court, and appellate advocacy courses, and volunteered at the Workers' Rights Clinic where she provided advice on a wide range of employment and labor law issues.
