Biography

Kayla Kieszek has worked at a national Social Security disability law firm representing clients at various stages of the process. Ms. Kieszek also worked as a legal intern at the Lima Public Defender’s Office and Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office, as well as being a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Christian Scherer for the Court of Common Pleas in Westmoreland County. In the Fall of 2015, Ms. Kieszek became a certified specialist in Veterans’ Benefits. Ms. Kieszek received her law degree from Ohio Northern University School of Law in 2014. She received her undergraduate degree in political science from Chatham University in 2011, where she graduated cum laude and was a member of the Blue Key Honor Society. She has interned with Project to End Human Trafficking and aided in researching and drafting legislation to enhance current anti-human trafficking laws. Ms. Kieszek serves as a volunteer at the Nationalities Service Center where she does pro bono citizenship applications. Additionally, she was chosen as a cohort for the Vira I. Heinz Program for Women in Global Leadership. The VIH Program prepares women for tomorrow’s global challenges by offering a unique opportunity for international experiences, leadership development and community service.
