Biography

I am a partner at Carver Darden Koretzky Tessier Finn Blossman & Areaux LLC in New Orleans, where my practice is centered around intellectual property law. I focus on assisting clients with the protection and enforcement of their patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. My background in computer science and law equips me with a distinctive approach to complex intellectual property issues.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Psychology from Duke University in 2001. Before embarking on my legal career, I worked as a software engineer, where I gained hands-on experience in technology and software development. I graduated cum laude from Tulane University Law School in 2009.

Since becoming a part of Carver Darden in 2009, I have supported clients from various sectors in patent prosecution, trademark registration and disputes, copyright enforcement, and technology law matters. My work includes federal trademark litigation, crafting and negotiating software licensing agreements, and managing domain name disputes.

Additionally, I have served as an Adjunct Professor and Law School Faculty Clinic Supervisor for Tulane Law School’s Trademark Lab, overseeing law students who provide pro bono trademark services. I also have experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in fields such as computer software, mechanical inventions, and oil and gas exploration technologies.

I am a named inventor on several patents and patent applications, including:

U.S. Patent No. 7,956,889 – Video Surveillance System
U.S. Patent No. 8,605,155 – Video Surveillance System
U.S. Pat. Pub. No. US20120233079 – Copyright Status Determination System and Method

My objective is to provide clear, practical advice to clients dealing with the complexities of intellectual property law, while utilizing my technical and legal background to secure the most favorable outcomes.
