John DiBernardino
John DiBernardino, Esquire has been practicing law since 1986. Originally from the Philadelphia area, he graduated from St. Joseph's Preparatory High School in Philadelphia in 1978. He graduated from American University in Washington, DC with a Bachelor's Degree in 1982. He then attended what is now known as Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE, graduating with his Juris Doctor degree in 1986.
While attending law school he clerked at a personal injury law firm in Philadelphia as well as with the Delaware County, Pennsylvania, District Attorney's Office, gaining valuable courtroom experience representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at preliminary hearings of those charged with various crimes. Upon passing the Pennsylvania Bar Exam on his first attempt in 1986, he first gained employment as an attorney at a small general practice law firm in Lehighton, PA.
Later, he was hired as Carbon County's first full time Assistant District Attorney during which time he started his own practice, initially on a part time basis. Before devoting full time to his own practice, he was also affiliated for several years with a small Allentown, PA law office at which he practiced in the area of consumer bankruptcy, personal injury and criminal law.
In his own practice, Attorney DiBernardino has devoted most of his time to helping people in significant debt by filing thousands of bankruptcies, making use of an under-utilized Pennsylvania law to obtain hundreds of thousands of dollars for his clients who are victimized by creditor harassment and defending clients who have been sued, often improperly, by debt buyers and credit card companies.
