John Carter Weathington

Attorney Carter Weathington dedicates his practice to representing individuals and families affected by catastrophic personal injury and medical malpractice. Before advocating for victims of negligence, Carter began his legal career at a national civil defense firm, where he represented major corporations, hospitals, physicians, and insurance carriers in complex cases involving personal injury, medical malpractice, negligent security, and wrongful death.

He went on to spend five years at a top-tier medical malpractice defense firm, handling litigation on behalf of physicians and hospitals, as well as representing clients before the Composite Medical Board. This extensive background has given Carter a deep understanding of how insurance companies assess claims and how defense strategies are built from the inside out.

Motivated by a desire to make a greater impact, Carter ultimately transitioned to plaintiff representation—committing his skills and experience to helping families navigate the legal system after life-altering injuries and losses.
