Jhenerr Hines

Jhenerr Hines is a top rated criminal defense lawyer and the George Edgecomb Bar’s 2016 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award recipient. She was a criminal defense and Federal Civil Rights Litigation attorney at Michael P. Maddux, P.A. before opening her own practice in 2015. Jhenerr got her start in criminal defense as a Florida Bar Certified Legal Intern in the Middle District of Florida’s Federal Defender’s Office. She was passionate about contributing significantly to the lives of others and has volunteered countless hours to the Community Law Program, Bay Area Legal Services, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as well as local elementary schools. She received the William F. Blews award for outstanding public service in 2013.

Originally from Montego Bay, Jamaica, Jhenerr has been a Florida resident for the past decade. Jhenerr Hines graduated from Bethune-Cookman University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, summa cum laude. She graduated from Stetson University College of Law’s honors program, cum laude, where she competed with Stetson Law’s award-winning Moot Court Board and was inducted into Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity. Jhenerr is currently on the board of directors of the Hillsborough County Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She is also the Young Lawyers Division Chair and Press Secretary of the George Edgecomb Bar Association.

Jhenerr has been a speaker at local law school and bar association events, teaching lawyers and students topics on Criminal law, marketing, and law practice management. Jhenerr Hines is also the recipient of the George Edgecomb Bar Association’s 2016 Outstanding Young Lawyers Award. Jhenerr Hines is diligent, passionate, and truly cares about helping people find relief in an imperfect justice system.
