Representative pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical device clients have included AstraZeneca, Incyte Pharmaceuticals, IsoStent, LLC, and Purdue Pharmaceuticals. Representative electronics, semiconductor and communications clients have included Ampex Corp., Certicom Corp., Compaq Computer Corporation, Corning, Inc., FORE Systems, Inc., LG Electronics, Linear Technology Corp., Live Global Bid, Inc., OPTi, Inc., Tessera Technologies, and Varian Semiconductor, Inc. While with the United States Department of Justice, James represented the United States in a wide variety of patent and intellectual property matters.
