- Q. I'm on TASC probation and I'm wondering if while I'm on it does the charge I got it for show up on an employment backrou
- A: The case should appear on a background search since everything that happens in Court is a matter of public record until, and unless you expunge the case. You have to wait at least 5 years after your TASC Probation is successfully completed before you are eligible to file a Petition to Expunge.
- Q. Can my son, be released with a charge of residential burglary. He is in city jail now. Bond $50,000.
- A: Unless there's an outstanding warrant out there, he should be released from jail upon posting of the Bond. If he violates any of the terms of his release, his Bond may be revoked and he goes back to jail.
- Q. Are you entitled to a private investigator for your criminal case? How do you get one?
- A: You do have the right to hire a private investigator. This is something you should talk to your lawyer about. Most experienced criminal defense attorneys have private investigators that they regularly use.
