Winston Duggan graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a B.S. in Political Science, with an emphasis in Law, and a Minor in Philosophy. He received his J.D. from Santa Clara Law in 2014. Winston was awarded a CALI Award for Excellence in Juvenile Court Law Seminar, was a member of the Criminal Law Society and worked as an associate on the Journal of International Law.
While attending Santa Clara Law, Winston interned with the Alternate Defender’s Office of Santa Clara County, working specifically with juvenile justice cases and assisted a diverse group of attorneys and investigators in ensuring fair justice for juvenile offenders. He also worked with the Northern California Innocence Project, screening potential claims of factual innocence and working to free wrongfully convicted inmates. After taking the bar, Winston clerked for a local family law attorney prior to becoming a member of the Law Office of Stephen W. Penn in September of 2015.
