Prior to joining Ropes Gray, Heather was an associate with a small Boston-based firm practicing in the areas of bankruptcy and civil litigation. She has represented debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, an official committee of unsecured creditors, and chapter 7 trustees. Heather has also represented clients in all aspects of litigation, from pre-suit investigation to successful disposition of a jury trial. Her litigation experience includes arguing at motion and summary judgment hearings; taking and defending witness depositions; and drafting pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and settlement agreements. Heather also worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the Office of the Vermont Attorney General, and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Joel B. Rosenthal, U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
