Law Offices of Siegel & Siegel, P.C.I have been practicing in the field of personal injury law for more than 40 years. I enjoy the close relationships, which I build with my clients throughout the course of a case. I do my best to put my clients at ease and trust that they feel safe and secure in the environment we have created in our firm. I represent people who suffer personal injuries arising from all types of motor vehicle accidents, such as car, bus, truck, and commercial vehicles. Also, injuries from motor vehicle accidents arising from uninsured and under-insured motor vehicles. I also prosecute slip and fall cases against commercial property owners, supermarkets and big box stores. I also represent people who have been injured by dog bites. In addition, I represent people injured in the course of their employment. These are commonly referred to as workers comp cases. In addition, I defend people charged with any type of motor vehicle violations (tickets), DWI, possession of CDS and other matters handling in our state's municipal courts.

- I served as Panel Moderator for a Continuing Legal Education program for Retraining of Arbitrators serving in Middlesex County. - Q. What to expect after a bus accident in NJ with injuries?
- A: Working on the assumption that you were a passenger on the bus, I think the main issue is whether the bus was privately owned or state owned, such as by NJ Transit. Depending, different laws apply to each. If it's a private bus company, you have a good case; if it's NJ Transit and you don't have an injury requiring surgery, it's probably a questionable case. If it's a private bus company, and you know its name, the next step is for your lawyer to put them on notice of your claim. If the police report indicates that many passengers were injured, it is probably advantageous for your case, to file a lawsuit pretty quicky, and move the ball down the field. In a lawsuit, the ... - Q. Use of deposition testimony at trial in NJ medical malpractice case
- A: You will probably have to get permission from the court to use it in opening. You can certainly read the deposition of the party doctor on your direct case, and or use it to cross-examine. You can read from it in summation.
that being said, consider not reading from it in your opening. See what defense counsel states in their opening before you shoot your load.
- Q. Injured at work as a delivery driver, facing termination after filing workers' comp. What are my options?
- A: I am sorry to hear of this unfortunate situation.
You still have the right to full workers compensation benefits even though you were terminated. Those do not end with termination.
With respect to the terrmination, there is a law in Nj against retaliatory termination for asserting a claim, but I would have to know more. Suffice it to say, these are difficult claims to prove.
You should pursue the WC benefits as they are significant.
