- I served as an infantry officer in many parts of the world, concluding as the Chief of Plans for the 4th Infantry Division and as the Operations Officer of an Armor Brigade. I have a Masters from the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) and a Masters from the Command and General Staff Officer's Course at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. I was awarded the Silver Star as an infantry company commander in Kuwait during DESERT STORM.
