- Activities: Mr. Rex is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Oklahoma Bar Association. He is Vice-Chairman of the Securities Committee and past Chairman of the Venture Capital Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and he is the Texas liaison to the National Venture Capital Association's Model Forms Project. He is a member of the Committee on Negotiated Acquisitions of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association (M&A Market Trends Subcommittee, Judicial Interpretations Working Group, Joint Venture and International Acquisition Transactions Task Forces). Mr. Rex is past-President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Nanotechnology Initiative, a consortium of industry, universities, government and venture capitalists whose mission is to establish Texas as a world leader in the discoveries, development and commercialization of nanotechnology. He is a member of The Nesheim Group, a group of professionals around the world that collaborate on the process of converting ideas into new enterprises that is led by John L. Nesheim, best selling author of High Tech Start Up: The Complete Handbook for Creating Successful New High Tech Companies and Unfair Advantage: High Tech Winners' Secret.
