Biography

David Postic represents and counsels clients in estate planning and asset protection matters, probate and estate administration, elder law, real estate transactions, adoptions, and a broad range of business law issues.

In 2013, David graduated magna cum laude with a B.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma, where he won the Letzeiser Honor Award, was selected as Big Man on Campus, and was crowned the first-ever "Mr. OU." In 2016, he graduated with honors (top 10%) with a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.

While in law school, David served as Note and Comment Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review. He was also the 2015 national champion of the Ruby R. Vale Corporate Law Moot Court Competition and the 2014 runner-up of the Calvert Moot Court Competition. He received numerous honors, including the Order of the Barristers, the Judge Wayne Alley Advocacy Writing Award, the Comfort Scholarship, the William and Ruth Farmer Scholarship, and 2 American Jurisprudence awards for academic excellence.

David has worked as a legal intern to Hon. Stephen P. Friot of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, Hon. James R. Winchester of the Oklahoma Supreme Court, and Hon. Arlene Johnson of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals.

In addition to his professional pursuits, David is a member of the Oklahoma City Midtown Rotary Club and is involved with Rotary at the national and international levels. He also dedicates his time to the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, where he serves on the Academic All-State Banquet Committee and is Chair of the Alumni Scholarship Fund. In 2018, he co-founded the Community Fund for Moore Schools, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to improving the physical infrastructure of Moore Public Schools.

Activities: Founded by David Boren, the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence is a nonprofit dedicated to recognizing and encouraging academic excellence in Oklahoma's public schools. Through its Academic Awards Program, the foundation provides more than $125,000 in scholarships and cash awards annually to honor outstanding graduating seniors as Academic All-Staters and exceptional educators as Medal for Excellence winners. Among its other initiatives, the foundation provides free technical support and training to local education foundations across the state, coordinates a program to send Oklahoma teachers to the Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute each summer and hosts Colonial Day at the Capitol, awards grants for teachers to attend regional and national conferences, and has partnered with the national Fund for Teachers and the Tulsa Community Foundation to provide grants statewide for self-designed summer professional development opportunities.
